Whether it was in a newspaper strip or in a book, talking illustrations were probably the first way that you were exposed to art and writing. For good reason, too –cartoons have a special way of leaving us with just the right lesson or just the right laugh. But why is this? Why do cartoons stick with kids, and do they have to be something that stays in our childhood, or can they follow us into adulthood? Here to tell us all about it is Ryan T. Higgins.
