Starting out Right

Did you know that the United States has one of the highest teen pregnancy rates in the western industrialized world? More than 50% of teen mothers don’t finish high school, and it can create a difficult situation for their family. What can we do to love and support those who have had a child younger than they might’ve liked to? And how open should you be with your kids to help them have safe relationships? Joining us today is Laura Pedersen, the primary developer of Starting Out Right, a program from the Arizona Youth Partnership, to help us understand more about teen pregnancy and how we can help youth get through it.
