Do you remember the days when you were a kid and the highlight of your summer was the week when your parents sent you off to camp? *Lisa and Richie discuss* Whether it’s a scout camp, sports camps, gifted and talented camp, etc., summer camps provide wonderful opportunities for youth to develop new skills and talents, while also fostering meaningful friendships and relationships. Especially after the last year of quarantining and social distancing, children are especially excited to spend time out with friends this summer. However, for some youth summer camps are just outside of their family's budget... limiting their ability to engage in these meaningful activities and foster vital friendships. One organization, Camp Colley, is dedicated to providing educational and wilderness experiences to the under-served children of Phoenix, Arizona, and give them the opportunity to nurture healthy development and resilience, foster meaningful relationships, and encourage wilderness exploration. Here to tell us more about their organization is Camp Colley’s executive director Richard Berg.
