Tree Methane

We've all known for a long time that trees can be a solution to the earth's carbon emissions problem. Trees absorb CO2. But biologists have known for a long time that trees also emit methane which is an even more potent greenhouse gas than CO2. So have we just been ignoring that inconvenient little truth or is there more to the story? Luke Jeffery is a post-doctoral research fellow at Southern Cross University in Australia unraveling this conundrum.
