Decoding Gen Z

If you find yourself saying something along the lines of “kids these days,” you might be juuuust old enough to be more than a little confused with the way the up-and-coming generation works. Gen Z is one of the most unique groups of emerging adults that a lot of us have seen. But more likely than not, right now they’re just your kids, your employees, or your students. And to an outside eye, they’re WEIRD. But, a better understanding of exactly what characterizes this generation –along with some insight on how they learn and communicate –can help demystify them a little bit. And here to help us with that is Mark Beal. Mark is a professor of public relations at Rutgers University –which means he has more than enough experience decoding how to communicate with Gen Z kids. He’s here to help us understand what makes Gen Z tick and how that can help us connect in more meaningful ways with the new generation.
