Patriotism

Legal scholar Jared Goldstein says the US Constitution is like a magic mirror: we gaze into it and see ourselves and our dreams for the nation reflected. Goldstein is a professor at Roger Williams University School of Law and author of a book coming out later this year called “Real Americans: National Identity, Violence, and the Constitution.” He discusses the clashing interpretations of the Constitution and American patriotism that have spawned so much conflict in the nation’s history.
