Across the country, state legislatures have filed hundreds of bills to either restrict or expand voting access in the last several months. Democrats in the US House just passed a sweeping voting rights measure, and the US Supreme Court is reviewing voter restriction rules in Arizona. Why are voter rights so controversial right now?
