Finance Apps (00:00) Are you trying to save money for an upcoming trip or maybe a new car? When we have long term goals like this, it can be hard to manage our money especially because there’s always some new expenditure popping up. But with so many apps out there to make our lives easier, surely there are a few to help us keep track of our finances, stay within our budget, and meet all our financial goals. Joining us with her financial app recommendations is Janae Chandler. Janae is a personal finance teacher. Service Dogs (16:16) According to the US census, over 40 million Americans have severe physical disabilities and there are only half a million service dogs that are properly trained to help them. But we found one organization on Just Serve who is working to fill this need. United Disabilities Services helps foster, train, and play with dogs to aid the disabled community across Eastern Pennsylvania. Annette Whitlock, the volunteer coordinator at United Disabilities Services, also referred to as UDS, is here to tell us how we can get involved. Mamba Mentality and Resilience (33:23) The world is still coming to terms with the loss of Kobe Bryant, one of the greatest basketball players of all time. One of his biggest legacies is the mamba mentality, the mantras that influenced his successful career. Incorporating Kobe’s ideals can help us as we strive to be as dedicated, consistent, and accomplished as he was. Here to tell us how following the mamba mentality can help us build resilience in our lives is Dr. Stephen Sideroff. Dr. Sideroff is a psychologist and author of the book The Path: Mastering the Nine Pillars of Resilience and Success.
