Study Retraction

Last year alone, some 2,000 studies published in scientific journals were retracted because of mistakes–or in some cases, outright fraud by the scientists who did them. Even before the pandemic, retracted scientific studies got a lot of media attention. Ivan Oransky teaches journalism at New York University and co-created the Retraction Watch website and database.
