Rhonda rider is a musician just as comfortable in a concert hall in front of thousands as she is in the great outdoors. Artist-in-Residence at both Grand Canyon and Petrified Forest National Parks, her cello recordings have been nominated for Grammy awards and cited as Critic's Choice in both the New York Times and the Boston Globe. She currently serves as the Chair of Strings and on cello faculty for the Boston Conservatory at Berkelee and Boston University. Today she shares a collection of never-before-recorded pieces by living composers, written specifically for the Petrified Forest National Park. She also chats with Steve about her "indestructible cello," creating never-before-heard cello sounds, and keeping company with the wildlife during her residency.
