While mass shootings immediately spring to mind when we talk about the close to 40,000 Americans that are killed by gun violence each year, nearly two-thirds of gun-related deaths in America are suicides. That's where legal scholars Frederick Vars of the University of Alabama and Ian Ayres of Yale say we should start in trying to reduce gun deaths. Their new book “Weapon of Choice” outlines how to encourage people to make the right choice about bearing arms.
