The Major League Baseball Draft is underway. Teams are vying to snap up young new stars to win games and attract fans. That last part is especially important – baseball has been losing fans for years. MLB thinks pitching is part of the problem. Pitchers are throwing so hard and so fast that games are longer and a lot more boring for casual fans. Major League Baseball hopes to make the game a bit more competitive by cracking down on pitchers who secretly put sticky stuff on the ball before they throw.
