Naomi Osaka dropped out of the French Open for the sake of her mental health. NBA player Kylie Irving missed a few games this season to take personal health days. Both have been criticized for failing to do the job they signed up for – shouldn’t professional athletes be up to the challenge of balancing the toll the game takes on their mental and physical health?
