Traveling expenses, food costs, cute fall décor, and Black Friday can add up to the point where it may seem overwhelming (and we’re not even at Christmas yet!). Consider this as your time to calm down, take a deep breath, and tell yourself that it’s going to be ok. Our guest, Rachel Ritlop, is here to give us her tips for saving money during Thanksgiving time. She is the founder of the lifestyle blog “The Confused Millennial” which covers important topics such as family finances. Bitcoin Basics (0:17:10) There’s a nebulous new force creeping into the edges of the American economy. In 2009, an anonymous person online found something fascinating: virtual gold in an online resource called Bitcoin. This faceless programmer created a system where online mathematicians can “mine” for this gold, and then use it as money. Money that isn’t regulated by the government. Sounds a little complex doesn’t it? Luckily, with us is Thomas Flake, an economist and founder of a Bitcoin operating business.
