Americans will pay higher prices for holiday purchases this year—and will probably have a hard time finding some of the stuff they want. The shipping and delivery pipeline that brings toys, clothing, furniture, electronics, cars, and even books into the US is so backed up, it could be well into next year before things are running smoothly again.
