Mikael Lewis describes his music as containing "travel, loss, hopeful dreams, love, politics, and the evolving beauty of life." The landscapes he creates with his lyrics and melodies are supported by alternate guitar tunings and a rhythmic, percussive playing style. For years, Mikael has been on a musical journey that has led him through collaborations with fellow musicians in project after project, in bands like "Bucket of Witches" and "Fyre and Reign", and the things that he gives to and learns from these projects can be hears in his own unique sound as a solo artist. His sound contains elements of rock and roll, americana, folk, and even jazz and world music. Lewis has shared the stage with such greats as The Gin Blossoms, Eddie from Ohio, John Hammond, Irish troubadour Brian Kennedy and English folk legend Nick Harper. He chats with Steve about life on the road, life across the ocean, father-daughter collaborations, and more.
