If you’re a viola player, a lover of musical history, or even just a fan of baroque music, then today is your lucky day! We’ll be hearing not just one, not just two, but three different kinds of violas—including one with way more strings than you think it could have. We’ll also feature some baroque vocals and a harpsichord for good measure. Our guests include Dr. Robert Baldwin, Director of Orchestral Activities and professor of music at the University of Utah, and Music Director of the Salt Lake Symphony. He’ll be playing viola and viola d’amore, and he’s brought with him: Kirsten Gunlogson (mezzo-soprano) Pamela Palmer Jones (harpsichord) Leslie Richards (viola da gamba) and special guest, and viola d'amore, expert Gordon Childs.
