Teaching Peace through Music

Imagine what it’s like to not have “the bare necessities” in your home, like hot water, electricity, a stove to cook on, or an air conditioning or heating system. Now imagine having limited access to clean drinking water, food, and medicine. For many people in refugee camps, they don’t need to imagine this. They’re living it. “What can I do to help?” Liz Shropshire, Executive Director and International Program Director of Shropshire Music Foundation, saw a need to help the refugee children in Kosovo. Drawing on her own personal talents and resources, she decided to teach them peace through music.
