UBI Stockton

All across the country, cities have been experimenting with the idea of giving low-income residents free money each month to make ends meet. Stockton, California was the first to do it on a large scale, where, starting in 2019, the city gave 100 low-income residents $500 a month. The city says it worked like they’d hoped.
