A remote small town in Alabama that was founded by formerly enslaved people called Gee's Bend is home to an artistic community that’s become famous worldwide. Gee's Bend's quilts are featured in some of the most prestigious museums in America, and now they’re on display in a London gallery–the first time the quilts have been featured outside the U.S. Loretta Pettway Bennett is one of the Gee’s Bend quilters.
