The superstitions of theater culture and complicated lives of Broadway players make it fertile ground for spooky stories.  Samhain to Halloween Guest: Arthur George, cultural historian and mythologist, and author of "The Mythology of America's Seasonal Holidays: The Dance of the Horae" Ancient Greek and Roman traditions honoring the dead influenced several similar Christian traditions. These Christian traditions merged with the Celtic Samhain festival to form what we know today as Halloween.
