Can You Tell a Dictator by His Face?

If you were shown the faces of two politicians you were unfamiliar with—both tightly cropped, looking straight at the camera—do you think you could tell which one was elected democratically and which was a dictator? It sounds silly. Except that participants in a study exactly as I described were right nearly 70% of the time. Does that mean that dictators have a “look”? And why on Earth would that be the case?
