S2 E41: Story Connections - Stories by Robert B. Jones + A Chekov Reading

On today's episode of The Apple Seed, we are excited to bring you stories all about connecting with others. We believe the power of stories can bring people together no matter how different we may seem on the outside. There is always something more we can learn about those around us, and all it takes is a story to bring it out. Today's stories feature all kinds of people connecting with their loved ones. Robert B. Jones tells us of a storyteller who inspired him to be the singer/storyteller he is today. You'll hear an interview we had with Dr. Danielle Ofri about her experience listening to stories from her patients, and how it has been a benefit for her medical care to them. And finally, we will share with you a reader's theater adaptation of a famous short story by Anton Chekhov, which was performed live in the Apple Seed studio. (20:51) Radio Family Journal by Sam Payne: Dreams can be a powerful thing, especially when we share them with those that we love. Whether they are funny, scary, crazy, or serious dreams, they make for a good story to tell our family and friends. In this radio family journal entry, Sam shares a memory about a dream he had growing up about loved ones who had passed on from this life. Even though he wasn't sure what to make of the dream, he knew that the events inside of the dream were important to him. The memory of this dream has stayed with Sam like so many stories do. (28:
