Educating for Democracy

It can be tricky figuring out how to discuss racism in the classroom, but luckily the Educating for Democracy Initiative at the University of Virginia has prepared free lesson plans for teachers of all grade-levels to talk about race, justice, and human welfare. Johari Harris, the Initiative’s director, and Nancy Deutsch, an education professor at the University of Virginia, both work with the Educating for Democracy Initiative.
