Winter can be a tough time for mental health: the snow keeps you at home, the days are shorter and darker, and the holiday season is often full of stress as well as joy. And because of that, our team here at the Apple Seed has been thinking a lot about how storytelling has helped us by taking our minds elsewhere, calming our anxieties, and even teaching us better habits. So, in the spirit of mindfulness, we thought we’d bring you a few of our favorite stories about learning from our anxieties, helping those going through hard times, and asking for help when we need it. On today’s episode, enjoy the following: Radio Family Journal: A Mile a Day Daily Mix: Teresa Love discusses “Make Way For Ducklings” “Golden Thread” by Susan Reed on Shoes (12:59) “Toilet Paper and a Troubled Teenager” by Tim Lowry on Out ‘n No Book (20:32) “Donkey & Toad” by The Storycrafters on Classics with a Twist (8:05)
