D. in Social Psychology from Yale University. He likes to research why people like or believe things that are wrong, unhelpful, and/or strange.  Dr.  Stein's recent research shows that people don’t always make decisions based on how they feel. For example, if you go into an ice cream shop and discover that other customers, who support a political candidate you oppose, ordered your favorite flavor, then you are less likely to order that flavor.
