Hyper-systemizing is a trait which drives people to seek patterns, experiment, invent, and make sense of the world. It is also a trait associated with autism. Studies show that autism shows up more prevalently in the STEM fields, but there is a high rate of unemployment and even suicide among people with autism. How can we better take advantage of these pattern-seeking skills and bring more people into our work communities?
