Recent excavation of cemeteries in Siberia that date back 7,000 and 8,000 years finds this closeness between man and his furry best friend is an ancient one. Anthropologist Robert Losey has unearthed the remains of dogs closely resembling modern Siberian Huskies buried for their own sake – not just as companions to their owners in the afterlife.
