Yarn Bombing

Of all the things a person might do to protest a policy or speak truth to power, knitting is not an obvious choice. How subversive can you really be with yarn? But every major movement has had its “craftivists.” They even have a special form of graffiti called “yarn bombing.” Hinda Mandell edited a book on the subject called “Crafting Dissent” and has curated a number of exhibits focused on craftivism.
