Debating the Limits of Copyright in the Digital Age

But the law to determine what’s fair use and what’s not was added to the copyright statute 40 years ago. A lot has changed about the way we create and publish in those four decades. So, courts have begun to rely heavily on an interpretation of that fair use law known as “transformativeness.”  Julie Rose moderated a debate at BYU on this topic between experts in the field.
