The fine arts play an important role in society by transmitting new ideas, cultures, and perspectives to a wide variety of audiences. Unfortunately, the current pandemic has hit the fine arts community particularly hard. Brookings University estimates that the fine arts community has lost about 1.4 million jobs, and an additional $42.5 billion in sale revenue. Here to teach us what we can do to support this vulnerable community is Crystal Young Otterstrom, Executive Director of Utah Cultural Alliance.
