Guest: Earl Fry, PhD, Professor of Canadian Studies in the Department of Political Science at BYU  After nearly a decade in office, the incumbent Conservative Party Prime Minister was ousted by a Liberal with a famous last name this week. The outcome was such a surprise and the young new Prime Minister so photogenic that the story’s even landed in a few newspapers this side of the border.
