An estimated four million students nationwide – mostly in public schools – have parents who served in Iraq or Afghanistan. A comprehensive new study of military-connected students sheds light on the challenges they’re facing at home and at school.

Fears of dehydration loom large among coaches and parents – to the point they may actually be encouraging too much drinking. While dehydration is unpleasant and undesirable, it’s rarely fatal. The opposite condition is – and it’s become enough of a problem that some new guidelines have been developed.
