People who go whale watching usually only see a whale’s head rising above the water as it spouts or its enormous tail flicking above the surface. But National Geographic photographer Brian Skerry dove underwater with the whales to get a closer look. He’s captured orcas, belugas, humpbacks, and sperm whales that have just been published in the new National Geographic book “Secrets of the Whales” and a four-part documentary series airing this week on Disney+.
