During the pandemic, dopamine-stimulating activities like eating, watching TV, and using social media all have increased. But the reward pathways in our brains may be out of whack from constant stimulation. And even before the pandemic, there was a fad called “dopamine fasting” where people would avoid anything that felt good to recalibrate their brains.
