In the studio tonight are students from the Latu School of Music in Provo, Utah. Those who live here locally have seen them playing at the Covey Center for the Arts, BYU’s De Jong Concert Hall, or at piano competitions like the UMTA Concerto Competition. They’ve performed for local and national government leaders like Utah Governor Gary Herbert and presidential candidate Mitt Romney, and they’ve gone as far away as Beijing and Shanghai to play with other young artists.  Host: Peggy Woodruff  Interviewees: Kalo Latu, founder; Annie Lee, student; Nicholas Carter, student;  Repertoire: A Scott Joplin Rag Rhapsody – Kevin Olson; L’Invitation a la Valse – Carl Marie von Weber, arr.
