Rosa Parks always gets a mention in Black History Month lesson plans: The middle-aged Black woman with tired feet who refused to give up her seat on a segregated public bus and launched the successful Montgomery bus boycott. That’s how the story’s often told. But Jeanne Theoharis doesn't believe it does the real Rosa Parks Justice.
